The doubleTwist team have selected Android to launch the service on first, releasing the now available app to the Google Play Store. Downloading and installing CloudPlayer will allow you to use both OneDrive and Google Drive out of the box.

CloudPlayer has been launched as an alternative to subscription services that impose various limitations on what customers can do with available content. The app will search through the online storage account and create a library of tracks saved in the cloud.

“Our philosophy at doubleTwist has always been to break down walls that large corporate entities build around their platforms to lock you down and we believe CloudPlayer achieves this.”

The app features a material design UI, premium sound quality, lossless audio, 10-band EQ and the ability to select songs and playlists for offline playback. AirPlay and Chromecast support is built-in. Have songs stored in the cloud, CloudPlayer may well be the music streaming the solution for you.

You can download CloudPlayer from the Google Play Store. Note that while the app is free, the premium version unlocks SuperSound, EQ, AirPlay, Chromecast and cloud support.
