Droid Turbo Android 5.1 update still in the test lab cycle, no release date in sight

The Android 5.1 update for the Droid Turbo is still not ready, as the company is still testing the update according to the latest update.

The latest information from Motorola about the status of the Droid Turbo update is not what people are going to want to hear. Senior Director of Software Product Management at Motorola Mobility, David Schuster, has posted an update on Google+ stating that the company is still working on the update.

Hey, I wanted to give a quick update on our progress on the DROID Turbo 5.1 lollipop upgrade since there seems to be A LOT of inaccurate information out there. We are still in the lab test cycle and things are looking good. We have not provided a launch date yet, but I will let you know as soon as the update is available.

Owners have been anxiously awaiting the update’s arrival ever since it was hinted that the device may skip right to Android 5.1. Unfortunately, there are no details around a release timeframe or anything, but we hope Motorola is able to rollout a stable update sooner than later.
