Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One game or two on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It’s like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!
Tonight at 8pm Central (9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT), we’ll be playing SMITE from Hi-Rez Studios. SMITE is the incredibly popular third-person MOBA (multiplayer online battle game) currently available on PC and in semi-closed beta on Xbox One. To sweeten the deal, we’re giving out tons of beta codes for Xbox One plus some premium skins to lucky viewers.

SMITE
MOBAs like League of Legends and DOTA are super popular on PC, but they can be tough for new players to learn. SMITE achieves mainstream appeal by playing more like a third-person action game than traditional MOBAs. The camera tracks your character from behind, putting you right into the action instead of distancing it.
SMITE also has a very cool theme, with players taking on the roles of warring gods. The game features stylized versions of gods and other mythological characters from numerous cultures, such as Zeus, Thor, Loki, Kali, Osiris, and even Cupid. Players get free access to a rotating selection of 10 characters, with others available to permanently purchase via in-app purchase (a $ 29.99 purchase of the Founders Pack unlocks all characters and the full game right now).
Teaming up with up to four friends or AI teammates and battling another team of human or computer players in SMITE is quite fun. Join us tonight for your chance to gain Xbox One beta access, or a premium skin if you already play!
The Contest
We’ll be streaming SMITE for ~90 minutes tonight, starting at 8pm Central (9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT). During that time, we’ll be giving out a total of 37 codes:
- 25 SMITE beta keys for Xbox One
- 3 Medusa “Black Gorgon” skins for Windows (Redeem in the Windows version and then link with Xbox One to transfer over
- 3 Xbalanque “Shinobalanque” skins for Windows (Redeem in the Windows version and then link with Xbox One to transfer over)
- 3 Bellona “Torment” skins for Windows (Redeem in the Windows version and then link with Xbox One to transfer over)
- 3 Bakasura “Ravenous” skins for Windows (Redeem in the Windows version and then link with Xbox One to transfer over)

How to watch Twitch livestreams
What’s the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don’t have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.
On Windows Phone, you’ll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others you’ll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
