Microsoft has been showing off unreleased builds of Windows 10 as part of their recent Build and Ignite conferences. Now a newly posted video shows yet another version of the OS, with the build number 10114, that shows some changes to the Start menu, among other things.
The video comes from WinBeta, which notes that this version of Windows 10 has yet to leak on the Internet. It also claims that this build won’t be provided to Windows Insider members. The video starts off by showing the Start menu, with the File Explorer and Settings selections moved to the bottom. It also shows that the option to turn the Start menu into the full screen version has been removed from the top right corner, although users can still make it full screen by going into the Settings menu.
The Windows Insider app has also gotten a big UI refresh, as shown in the video, with a hamburger menu on the left, and the full profile of the specific Windows Insider user on the right, with info like how long they have been a member of the program, which build of Windows 10 is running and more. The ‘Dark” theme can also be enabled on the calculator and alarm clock apps, the Settings screen and the volume control.
All in all, the video shows that Microsoft is busy making some user interface changes and improvements, but nothing much in the way of major new features. Hopefully the Windows 10 will launch a new build soon that will replace the current 10074 version.
