LG is bringing some of the looks and features of the G4 into two lower-end devices.
Hoping to build on the halo created by the LG G4 launch, LG has announced two lower-end devices with the same naming to come in underneath the flagship. The LG G4 Stylus and G4c are larger and smaller, respectively, than the G4 proper, but each one offers a similar design and features to the high-end device.
First up is the G4 Stylus — aka the G4 Stylo if you’re in North America — which has a larger 5.7-inch 720p display and LG’s standard Rubberdium stylus. Beyond that, it has rather middling specs — a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 3000mAh battery and 13MP camera.
On the smaller side, the G4c has similar specs to the Stylus, but in a smaller form factor and without the pen. The 5-inch display stays at 720p, and the RAM, processor and storage are also the same. You also drop to a 2540mAh battery, and an 8MP camera on the back. Both devices will retain the G4’s Laser Autofocus feature, as well as other LG standards like Knock Code, Gesture Shot and a curved body with rear-mounted buttons.
As is often the case the G4 Stylus and G4c will launch around the world in a variety of different configurations — including slightly different camera and radio combinations — with LG saying that sales will kick off several weeks from now. Each region will receive pricing information for the devices as they are announced.
