Through its Twitter account earlier today, Cricket Wireless announced that it is set to offer the Lumia 640 starting this Friday, May 15—marking the first carrier offering we’ve seen so far in the U.S.
Cricket didn’t offer up any details on which colors it will offer, or how much the device will cost, but we wouldn’t expect it to break the bank. For comparison’s sake, we saw the T-Mobile variant briefly listed for $ 89 from the Microsoft Store late last month.
In any event, when the device goes on sale later this week, customers will be able to get their hands on a 5-inch device sporting a 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage. Additionally, the Lumia 640 packs an 8MP rear camera, a 1MP front-facing shooter, and a 2,500mAh battery.
Are you a Cricket customer planning on snagging one of these babies on May 15? If so, shout out in the comments. In the meantime, also be sure to check out our review of the Lumia 640 from the link below.
