Shortly after T-Mobile started letting customers carry unused data over from one month to the next, AT&T announced that it would do the same thing. Well, not really the same. You can only hoard a single month’s worth of data, not a full year. Nevertheless, it’s better than nothing.
At the time, the feature was only available to AT&T’s Mobile Share Value customers. Now it’s coming to the carrier’s prepaid GoPhone $ 45 and $ 60 plans as well. You can take advantage of the feature as long as you renew your plan on time each month.
GoPhone $ 45 plan comes with 1.5GB of data in addition to unlimited talk and text. The $ 60 option makes that 4GB. Going over that limit reduces speeds to 128kbps for the remainder of the period.
Rollover data for prepaid plans will take effect starting May 15th.
